Mainly based on costs, the aluminum block versions were much more expensive. Also, if I ever do decide to go big the iron block can hold more power ;)

Also, you should went budget/dsm style, 5.3L, boost, LS6 cam, 500/500 on low boost.

I'm actually starting pretty conservatively, stock shortblock / cam / head studs...

My goal is 400whp to start with and perhaps some nitrous in the near future ;)
