I've been considering painting my calipers, anyone want to share their experiences with different products? I hear some are good, some suck. I might end up having a friends powder coat them.

I just ordered a product you paint on with a brush. Well see how it works. Comes as a kit with everything, the paint is mixed with a hardner before you put it on.

Where did you get that?

I got it as I was ordering other parts for my car that I needed off their site.. Its a BMW Porsche site.. It was 40 for the kit. Pelicanparts.com

Sometimes locally at autozone or checker you can get the kits too. Look for this kit, I know others that have used it. http://www.g2usa.com/

Don't powdercoat, they will retain too much heat that way.

Don't brembos and others already come powdercoated? What is different about those?

Well I learned something. I wonder how I can get my calipers to look that smooth.

I need to repaint mine, I got the duplicolor or whatever it's called that they sell at O'reilly for $15. I put it on in in thick coats and a year later it was cracking off. I really want to redo them in gloss black, the yellow is tacky with a maroon car.

Yes thin coats. Did you use a spray or brush?

Calipers are usually cast, so they are not smooth to the touch btw.
