so i get to work today at ultimate electronics, and after about a half an hour into my shift there is a guy looking at radar detectors, the other trainee is trying to field some of his questions and i was listening in because i know some stuff about radar detectors and such. well the guy starts inquireing about this $900 radar detector with custom install (really sweet setup) that has the ability to connect with the Laser Shifer ZX-3 which basically is a laser jammer (extra $300) and i jump in and give some more info. the other trainee leaves and i take over telling him all about the detector and jammer. and the guy i was showing this to hands me a business card that says hes a state trooper, my stomach drops and he says go get my manager immediatly... so i go and get him and he gets into this looong sphile about how hes warning us that having possesion of these radar jamming equipment and selling them is illegal and if it continues they will get a warrent and sieze our divices, it was soooo fucking gay. like us as sales reps and managers decide what we sell. fucking ass.
soo one of my other senior reps comes up to the guy and says "ya know what sir, im gonna ask you to leave and stop bothering out reps, we are gonna try to sell and intall everything that we sell and dont sell" the trooper replies this some bs comment like "well if i see you sell one of these im gonna arrest you" fucking pig,
i dunno, cops are getting to be (IMO have always been) real fucking assholes about everthing. fuck them
sorry just venting, time for bed now, sorry im kinda drunk.

You were just doing your job, but if it is in fact illegal it's rediculous that they'd be making you do such a thing. If you were the one to install an illegal device while at work it wouldn't be your ass in a sling so don't worry about it.
I have a feeling Tom likes Pork. We know you hate every form of law enforcement on the planet Tom, but can you get a grip on some shit already? I am not defending him, as his time could be better spent finding the crack dealers selling to kids and shit, but it's not like he picks his orders either.

I will say it loud and proud, "FUCK COPS!" I never used to say that, but I have witnessed first-hand far too many power trips as of late. I have many examples that I could go in to, but I am eating a bagel and don't want to spoil the moment.

I love my car cause most cops don't know what it is. so if I'm just pulled over for something simple, i can almost screw with them.
some people are wayyy too scared of cops, like, say my parents: They got totally freaked when i got pulled over at the airport, the cop walks up and asks for my stuff, and was like, "We're doing random screenings, you can go, just keep the speed down."
And last spring i got pulled over for doing 70 on 394 (?????) and this miata or something pulls over in front of me, like he's getting a ticket too! lol, He stayed there for the WHOLE ticket. lol, what a dummy.

The speed limit is 55 on 394, regardless of what the traffic around you is doing.

Been pulled over 4 times: 1st was for a stop sign violation which I deserved 100%, 2nd was for BS careless driving that I took to court and won with a hands-down unanimous jury decision, 3rd was for driving on a side-street w/o my headlights on at night- no ticket, 4th was for pulling 37 in a 25- checked my license and told me to have a nice evening
.....Overall I have learned that IMHO Deputy Sheriffs are 500% nicer and easier to get along with than urban police officers, like Hughes said, too many cops get on power trips, and I believe that the majority of those cops on power trips are urban cops

Um, even I know that laser jammers are illegal in this state. It's your company's fault. I find it strange that none of the managers or employees knew that they were illegal either and brought it to someones attention.
It's not illegal. I used to work at Best Buy, and never heard of it being illegal for you to sell it. And I've only heard of them being illegal in the car if theyre an obstruction of view.

From Minnesota Statute 169.14
" Subd. 12. Radar jammer. For purposes of this
section, "radar jammer" means any instrument, device, or
equipment designed or intended for use with a vehicle or
otherwise to jam or interfere in any manner with a
speed-measuring device operated by a peace officer.
No person shall sell, offer for sale, use, or possess any
radar jammer in this state. "
Under that description, selling a laser jammer would be illegal.
