On my 1g I've got a MAFT in Blow through which allowed me to run a 3 inch pipe to the old side mount location. Not worth $200 on it's own, but really cleaned up that area of the engine bay. You essentially see nothing on the transmission side of the motor. It eliminates the whole recirculation tube as well.

Sounds like the Dejon CIP-2gS intake for $160 would work perfectly for you.

If you do decide to go with a gm maf in blow thru, I would still be leary of putting the filter right on the turbo. Think about it, the air it's taking in has just come through your radiator, and that shit is hot! At least with it in the stock location, it's getting somewhat cooler air.

I said that more just to clarify things. I mean so I could have the option of putting it on the turbo. I know the air would be pretty hot. Thanks though

Is that a 3'' outlet? I've seen those but haven't found much info on em.

The inlet to the intake is the same oval shape/size as a 2G MAS and the outlet is 3" to match your turbo.

^idk if you are offering to sell that, but I need the recirc tube so that wouldn't work unfortunately.
And Kracka that dejon looks sweet but it's kinda pricey. We'll see what my injen intake goes for.

^I've seen that intake quite a bit. That's probably my cheapest solution if using my current 3'' doesn't work.
