is ti a boggy type shake.... like the car is flooding out? if so check your plugs and plug wires.

Sounds like what mine was doing after my 6 bolt swap. After cruising at a constant speed it would all of a sudden get really bogged down. If I put it into neutral for a few seconds and back into gear it would be ok for a few seconds and go bad again.

Does it get like that if you constantly fluctuate the throttle or accelerate and decelerate? I unplugged the ECU and it went away for a couple months.

When mine does this my narrowband reads very lean, doesn't flash to green like usual.

+1 unplug the ecu for a bit and it will be all god for a while. I think DSMLink would fix this.

If it gets into the bogged state, go to neutral for a few seconds, put it back into gear and then fluctuate the throttle a lot and quickly. Mine would never get to the bad state if I was accelerating, so when I would go from 15-20% throttle all the time it would never get bogged down. It really sucks to drive like that, but I had to do it from Des Moines all the way up to Minneapolis because I didn't know what was happening. My right leg and foot got really sore.

But I unplugged the ECU and it was fine for 2 weeks. It happened again and it's been ok for two months now, but I'll see if the problem goes away permanently when my DSMlink gets here next week.

I have a 95 eprom ECU, so $30 to socket it plus I got used DSMlink for $410.

Did the guy put back in an eprom ECU from a 95 or did he use a later year ECU? Eprom ECU will cost another 200 probably if you don't have one.

ok i unhooked the battery for a hour.

someone said that would be the same as unplugging the ECU?

even so. Its runnign just as bad.

when its idling it sounds choppy. like the boggyness isnt going away
