Don't take this the wrong way, but i was telling my brother about this and he reminded me that we paid about $20-$25 less for our 2 door cars and that was no special deal.
Are you getting hooked up from this deal at least?

How long does it usually take them to tint? ('94 TSi)

Not long, we are planning on getting through about 10 cars/day.

This is a very good price and we're only getting it because we'll practically be filling their shop for a weekend. I would not set up a group event like this if it was not a great deal, nor would I set it up if the work was anything less than terrific. Whether you decide to act on this group buy or not is your decision.

Ok?

Don't freak out, also pm me with who you are dealing with because i have dealt with a few tint places and they told us they would be giving us a deal only to find out there were not one bit.
I just wanted to say that i got it done for cheaper by a reputable place with lifetime warranty and its the only place that has done my cars and my friends.
Thank you for informing me about my own decisions, but like you i am trying to help people save some money, as far as i knew saving an extra $20-$25 was a good thing.

Bottom line: if i can't get the same price, i will join this deal, it is a good deal especially for the people with 4 door cars and I have seen the cars that were done and they looked great.

Also, while it is kinda sucky for me to have to question this, it is for the best of the group, i do not benefit one bit as all my cars are done and sam really doesn't care if her car is done or not.

When I had my S2k done it was $130 + tax ($138.45) and Peter's M3 was $170 + tax ($181.05). Those prices were a good deal and we're beating those here by a decent amount. Keep in mind, the rear hatch glass on a DSM alone uses nearly the amount of tint film than all 3 of my S2k windows used combined. I think $150 out-the-door (tax included) is a very good price. Obviously a lot of people are interested in this deal, but if you are not b/c you think you can get a better deal elsewhere then go right ahead but please do not pollute my thread with hearsay.

Brownman- I paid more than 150 for my 2 door, at this same place, on a special that was run for mnsc. I thought it was fair, considering we checked with some other places and they quoted more.

If you find someplace that has it cheaper, go there. Im not even the originator of this "groupbuy," and I find it kinda insulting for you to think Hughes is doing it for a cut of the profit. I highly doubt there is any profit being made.. Hughes usually goes out of his way to setup stuff for the groups benefit- Cruises, Events, Group buys.. etc.

Nothing is going into my pocket from this and I am paying the same $150 as everybody else. I am getting zero personal gain other than having my windows tinted for only $150 just like everybody else.

Is there a cut off date to add people to this list? My friend is picking up another 1g and might be interested in it too...
