Ok so I have a rebuilt 3.55 w/ a quaife lsd, prolly 5000 many miles on it since it was rebuilt. The night I was parking my car for the winter This fall I stopped at the gas station my buddy works at to say hi, well I pull into the parking lot in first and I push the clutch in and stop and go to back into a spot. I put it in reverse and let the clutch out and it doesn't make a sound or move at all. The next day I trailer it back to my house and check it out as much as I can w/o dropping the tranny. It goes into all the gears smooth and when I let out the clutch the rpm's drop a little so its engaging. The car rolls while in gear so I'm assuming that maybe the output shaft broke? what do you guys think? I moved and am going to school in grand forks right now so the car is stored at my mom's house in alex so I haven't had a chance to drop the tranny and check her out.

I had a problem similar to this on my old 1g N/T. The shaft actually had a groove in it from the throwout bearing riding on it wierd, which was keeping the clutch from being able to enagage completely. I'd look at the shaft really well and see if there is a ridge to it at all.
If that turns out to be the problem, look into shaft sleeves. They are really cheap, but unfortunately I couldn't find anyone that makes them for a 1g. :(

Well i was able to drop the tranny this weekend and see what went out on me, the drive shaft shop stage II axles are perfect and the spec 3 clutch is good. I stuck my finger in the holes for the axles and feel all kinds of metal shavings in the diff, this is not good! So I destroyed my quaife lsd, does anyone have any experiance with the warranty through quaife? I know it has a limited lifetime warranty.

Thanks brandon, but i have already read that...I actually have the warranty card sitting right next to me right now that says all that. I emailed the previous owner of the car for the original purchase reciept from horsepowerfreaks.com... I was just curious if any one has had to any warranty claims with quaife before.
