You guys driving the turbo DSM, do you guys get the power steering noise? I seem to get it when its really cold and goes away after it gets warmer. Even turning the steering wheel makes a screeching noise and when going into speeed bumps it screeches. Looks like i need to replace it soon. If any of you guys have a solutions bring me up some Q's + A's.

DSM's always make a lot of noise when cold. Make sure all your belts are fresh and tight.

make sure you got enough fluid in there

I've checked. everything you could possibly think of. Everything looks fine. I think its the pump going out on me :(

The fluid thickens up like crazy when it's cold, and the pump is probably cavitating. As it warms up, it stops, and so does the noise.

I don't drive my car in the winter...(or much at all).

Wondering why this is internal's tech? This is ually for rods/pistons/etc.

Thicker fluid will flow less freely than thinner fluid, some power steering noise from the pump is normal under frigid temperatures.
