I have already stated many times that i was wrong, 3 of the 5 emails posted above reflect this. I don't know what else to do to make you guys understand that i'm aware of my mistakes.

The only thing that bothers me about this whole ordeal is while me and allan were colaberating through emails, talking about how i could be an asset here, he was on this thread bashing me and locking me out.

I was not asking for a section in the "shops" section. I already had a feeling that was not an option, but it was brought up by someone else, so i thought "maybe i can get in there"

I just got the impression that if i randomly posted info about my shop or services, i would have been banned. Thats why i asked "where can i post......"

I had no intention of coming on here to preach or scream "come to me", although i obviously gave everyone else that impression, for that i apologize.

Allan, thanks for the history lesson, if that story were posted somewhere on this site, it would have saved us both a lot of lost time.

Allan, i was being professional with you during all our email communications, and you continue to put me down every chance you get publicly here on the board.

I don't think i'm the one who has been acting childish.

Even while you were putting me down and locking me out, i posted to another thread in an attempt to help someone out. If that doesn't show my true intentions i don't know what would.

Once again, sorry i wasted all this time and bandwidth.

When you were stating you were wrong, you still had to put in those last few nails in the coffin. You had to dig that knife in a little more.

Here is what I mean:
Like i said earlier, this could all have been avoided if i did the research ahead of time to realize this website is no more than an extension of 3 businesses. If it wasn't, you would welcome more competition (especially with the experience i have) to get better prices for the members.

I do have to hand it you guys, creating a message board to increase business while making it look like your helping the community. Thats pure genious..............

Like Allan stated before, you are not known on this board and your work is not known. Why would the site want to back another shop if they are not sure of the work you do. You could work for free, but if it's shitty work, people wouldn't come back to you. If they glorified your shop and you and you ended up screwing customers and destroying cars, how would the site look to it's members.

I said it before and I'll say it again, the shops that are on the site with recognition are there because they earned it. Not because they came in and said "We can beat anyones prices and we have been doing this for years."

And this site is much more than just those 3 businesses. I, along with others on this site, are very deep into racing. Not just going to Rock Falls and racing a few times a year. There are professional drag racers, professional rally drivers, professional and amatuer race organizers, etc. If you read any of the forums you will find out that we are more a race oriented DSM site with some friendly banter thrown in on the side. The businesses are merely there to support the racing and general car repair side of things. These businesses are prominant on more than just this site.

As far as Allan bashing you and locking the thread, He really wasn't bashing you. He was telling how it was. Sometimes he is not the most Politically correct person in his replies. And locking the thread down was so no more bashing would go on in this thread. It was meant to protect everyone involved. It wasn't personal. You did not present TRUE credentials for what you were claiming and he called you on it. Don't consider that bashing, consider that a sign that you have to be more specific and site examples if you really want us to trust you and your work. If you misrepresent yourself, you will get no respect here.

I think this thread is a total waste of time and a fresh start is required between both parties.

If you admit you were wrong, leave it at that. Post, meet people, enjoy yourself and go from there. Continueing this thread is pretty pointless. If Allan and you have issues, deal with them via PM. You posting up things he PM'd or Emailed you in private is not cool.

I don't think the possibility of you having a section in the shops area was out of the question, repair the initial damage, prove yourself and you will find Allan is a fair person.

i agree with both of you. As far as i'm concerned this thread is dead. I'll only add to it if a question is asked of me.

I agree, I locked it too soon and only opened it due to the fact the issues on this site where taken to an un needed level on another list. (MN 3S).

I agree, let bury this. The story has been told. So Jack if I see you around this summer I'd gladly shake yoru hand and put this shit to rest. For now, kick back, crack a beer, and shill. Stay clear of the "southern folk". They can be a little roudy. ;)
