i did a really good boost leak test and found a tiny leak on the j pipe where the nipple goes to wastegate... i will be welding it in a lil bit... but could that tiny of leak be the case???
timing is on... logger says its at +2 to 5deg at around 900 rpms. looks good to the eye... and no knock was recorded... highest number was 7...
The logger can't tell if timing was set correctly. What are your plugs gapped to? They should be .028".

That is the correct way to check your ignition timing.
But at this point I don't really think it's your timing. I don't think that'd make your car only boost to 7psi.

they are gapped at .03 or around there... the plugs were in it when it ran well, and i checked them and they were all firing... this all happened after i replaced a bad injector... but before that it boosted 16lbs with the bad injector... just gotta wait for the kids' mom to get back so i can get to work on it some more... and there are no damn gaskets on any of this stuff, all gasket maker!!!

I hope you don't try and sell it without telling the potential buyer of the porblem(s) it has.

Maybe bring it to one of the meets, and have one of the guys who knows what they're doing a little bit see if they can help point out the issue.

I guess I don't understand why you just want to give up. Jet offered a suggestion that you try reducing your plug gap to no greater then .028. A couple of us have also mentioned that your turbo may be dead. Take 5 minutes to go out there and reduce your plug gap. If it remains, well then seriouslly it's looking like either a HUGE boost leak or a turbo on it's way out. Pick up another 14b for $100 and hopefully that does it. You're making this seem worse than it is.
