I would suggest some decent struts, and some 2" drop springs. For what you said you'll use the car for, coilovers would be a waste of money better spent elsewhere. Just curious, but do you always talk like you're really excited? Or do you just really like using the exclamation point?
This is MitsuStyle...get pumped up!!!!!!!!
If you want a 2" drop I have the Tein S-Tech springs on my Evo and I am happy with them. Be sure to get at least a rear aftermarket anti-sway bar, they make a huge difference on DSM's.

I had tokico illumina's with springs on my 2G and I really liked them, they were huge bang for the buck. Lowered about 1.5" all around, 5-way adjustable, and I got them in a combo auction on ebay for under $500 shipped. Otherwise, if they make Megan Racing coilovers for 2G's, I'd recommend their street package...evos can get these for less than $900. Either way, be sure to get at least a rear sway-bar and your will love your car sooooooo much more!

Those Tokico kits are a very good value, I've recommended them to people before but from the sounds of it you may be looking for a lower drop than these offer. If you want to go even cheaper, you can buy a kit with regular shocks, not their adjustable ones. The Megan coilovers are also a great value, the Evo and S2k guys love them. Whatever you do though, do not use the stock DSM shocks with aftermarket lowering springs.

ya im pritty sure im going to get some coilovers, i hate body roll so i would rather go the exstra mile and get something good and that alot of people are very satisfied with, than just throw some no name pos springs in and call it a day! i want my car to preform as good as i hope it will look this summer lol

Most body-roll has to do with the swaybars, not the springs.

My non-adjustable Tokico kit cost something like $320 shipped from ebay, great deal for a regular daily driver. I don't plan to autocross or track the car that much, didn't think the adjustables were worth the extra $150.
The non-adjustable kit also has slightly more drop, 1.75" I believe.
