It still baffles me how they can justify calling the Evo turbos "16g"

I was going to wait until next week when my hand was fully healed, but the outside of the cut is 90% healed, and discovered a bunch of spare time this weekend so I went ahead and slapped this little toy in.

I kept it simple and left the exhaust manifold, downpipe, and hotside (previously ported, already a 10.5 since I have an 05) all bolted up:

IX turbo on the left, VIII turbo on the right:

VIII turbo next to that same small16g (see previous post)...looks a little closer in size, but I made ~330whp on this sucker!

Instead of spending $100 on a new buschur outlet pipe, I opted to make a piece of IC pipe to fit in the missing space....very nice option in my opinion, with zero compromise in performance:

Thanks kracka for your help cutting this! Pipe came from an old dsm j-pipe I had....a little JBweld around the end of each one to keep the couplers from slipping off ;)

In place and ready to rock!

Also, just as a reminder to everyone, DO A BOOST LEAK TEST! Time and time again people show up at dyno days and tuning sessions w/o doing this. This is a huge factor in making consistent power. I also took the time to check my tire pressure as well, all were low. With temps as cold as they are, its not uncommon for tire pressure to drop.

That reminds me Schiedes, Can I borrow your boost leak tester? I just wanna double check that my new BOV flange welds are good.

Sweet. Thanks! Don't forget the spacer thingy so it'll fit in my 4" coupler.
