Hmmm who coated it? Also that's a stock cast mani right? I wonder it it adhere's better to cast items better, more porous maybe?

Yup, cast. I'm not sure who Buschur uses to coat his stuff, but it's the most durable coating I've seen. It's held up just as well on the stainless steel Megan o2 housing.

I will just use Primo for my coating next time. Even if their coating has the same issue, at least I know if I have a problem they won't ignore me.

I assume Bob @ MAP did your coating? Have you contacted him about it?

The stuff I had Bob do before he was with MAP on one of our road race customer's car has held up good so far, the coating on the Buschur O2 housing on the same car was flaking off after a few track sessions, but it was the shiny metallic ceramic stuff which can't handle as high of heat as the black, blue, etc non-shiny coating. The shiny metallic stuff isn't really supposed to be used on turbo cars due to the heat.

I hate to say negative things about people, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to say this all without coming off as a bad customer.
But yes it was Bob, and yes I tried to contact him so I could just speak with him directly about this. I wanted to talk to him, because what he didn't know was I also wanted to talk about some other things I'm going to want some coating done to also. But in the end he never gave me the opportunity to discuss anything with him. He did however have someone else tell me that he won't consider any warranty, but that I could pay him to coat it again and he'd consider a small 15% discount.
All I wanted was to talk to him about it, and discuss coating some other things. But in the end I feel quite ignored which also makes me feel like an unvalued customer. Unfortunate, but really not a huge deal, and I will still do plenty of business with MAP in the future as they have always been great to me. Just think I'll pass on the coating services, and to be quite honest will point my friends in another direction for the same services as well from now on.
Also I was going to say, I think he had mentioned the coating that was used on this was the Techline Turbo X coating, so I really thought it would have lasted longer than 7k miles. But maybe it just has something to do with the smooth surface of a tubular manifold maybe?
