Air to water seems like a pain in the ass. Not to mention the limitations on cooling with higher boost, or larger turbos. I guess it's ok for OEM, they will just tune the thing so friggin safe it will have a lot left for people who fix the shortcomings and tune it a bit more aggressively.

Water to air intercooling if setup right is better then some big fmic, I wonder what its going in, M3?

My guess is that it'll go in the M5. Looks pretty sweet. Any ideas how much power it'll make?

Its going in the X6 SUV first i believe.
The hood/paint seems like it could have issues with that kind of heat as well. Then when crazy people like us start bolting up larger turbos making more heat.. abusing it more.. it just seems like it could have many side effects sitting up top.
Ever seen under the hood of a Buick Grand National? Heat shields worked great back then and I am sure with the advancements in composites and different coatings there wont be an issue now.

Yeah, I have, but it isn't like this where everything is sitting inside the "V" and directing heat like a heater. I wouldn't doubt we see ten year old, high end bimmers with horrible hood paint issues.
