K guys, I have a 92GSX that has been running for 2 weeks.... and today I was pulling into my street and I was kind of screwing around in the snow and I decided to drift alittle bit with it. When I threw it sideways I over did it and ended up lightly hitting a snowbank and getting stuck. Well after trying to reverse and get out I just decided to dig it out. Well after it was completely dug out I realized that it wouldn't go in reverse, at all, it actually moved forward, and when I shifted into 2nd or 3rd(I did this just to check) it did the same thing, moved forward, like it was stuck in a gear or something. Then after that happened my car started idiling really high, like 4,000 rpms constantly. When my brother and i finally got it out of the snowbank I parked it, turned it off but could hear a loud bubbling noise. I popped the hood and right away determined that it was coming from the radiator/radiator hose. I could smell coolant and saw that there was some fluid coming out of the overflow can. Did I seriously f*** up my engine and tranny at the same time? Keep in my mind that the car wasn't tuned cuz I havent had time to get the car on a dyno and I've been having idle problems... either I have a boost leak or something. All help would be awesome on this. And just to clarify I hit the snowbank lighty, maybe I got water in the intake or something, because the snowbank I hit I could've easily gotten out of if I had reverse, it was all powder.

If it was moving forward, you were in 4th. Maybe try adjusting your shifter cables.

I put it in all the gears, when I was in reverse it would move forward, I checked all the gears, all did the same thing.

Do the gears seem to be any different? taking off in 5th will cause the car to die, while taking off in 1st or 2nd will be possible. That will let you know if the car is shifting or stuck in a gear. Did you check the cables? The high idle sounds like a major boost leak possibly, check that out. You may have popped a hose off or something.

I put it into all the gears and it moves the same as if it were in 1st, and the gears grind when I put it in a different gear, is that because of the high idle or messed up shifter cables?

That makes sense for the boost leak, but why would my car coolant run out of the overflow can? It wasn't alot but it was enough to get my attention.

That really sounds like a blown headgasket or bad water pump.

You probably jammed a bunch of snow in your engine bay. Get it all melted out of there, pop the hood and LOOK at what is going on. Are all of the pulley's spinning? Are the shifter levers moving as they should?
