Congrats on the new job.

But because of the job, flipping this new house and moving somewhere with a shorter commute may not be a bad option. Take the money and run.

Nah, we'll be staying there for a while at least. If you saw the house and how much we paid, you would agree. We will at least finish off the basement to get as much money out of it as possible. The kitchen needs a remodel down the road too and we want to take out the main floor laundry room (there is one upstairs too) and expand the formal dining room. The appraiser said it would be about $530k with that done. We paid way less than half that :D

Congrats Jet! I'm glad to see things are going so well for you :) No, if only lane splitting was legal...

Congrats, be glad they finished all that construction there at 7 & 494. That was a pain in the ass when instead of having nice onramps/offramps they had stoplights on 7, made for some sweet rush hour traffic.

Since he's living there, he'd want to keep it two years though to avoid capital gains. That wouldn't be fun on $200K+. Although you can roll it into the next one. We'll be doing this real soon ourselves.
