I was watchign Road Trip to The LA Auto Show on ESPN. Then they start talking about performance cars and I kind of laugh it off considering for god sake its a Hybrid. THen comes the shocker this thing has 470HP and its AWD with a 5spd Transmission!

I hope they dont make it. 2 engines are gay, and would be a nightmare to fix or maintain. Plus it looks like a spaceship.

They are making this. I talked to one of the mechanics from mitsu and he said that they will be bringing this out for the 2005 model year. It has a 3.5 or 3.6 or 3.8 liter v-6 or something like that.

i wonder how you'd mod one of those? do u just get a wonder battery to bump the rear engine up 20hp or sumthin?

It seems like an awsome car besides the fact that it will weigh about 4000 pounds. They call it E boost. I guess the rear electric engine provides the most power.

I don't know... I mean the concept is cool but I seriously doubt they'd release a 400+ hp eclipse to the public.

1) 400+? won't this be ungodly expensive?
2) This is reaching near viper hp... and you know everybody and thier sister has an eclipse; do they really think that 16 year old chelsea is going to be able to handel this power? shit, bad enough drivers as it is.

But hey! They are cool lookin... esp the interior.

Well you got an EVO that costs 30K+... makes 280hp. Double the horses and engines and you therefore double the cost.

I would assume 50k for that concept at the least. Poo on that.

Once again at the Chicago auto show the dealers were talking about their batteries and such being how thats a new source of power and becoming so common. Honda is putting a 180k mile warranty on their battier features and mitsu is doing something of the same sort if im not mistaken
