I just picked up a set of ford Racing 150 pound injectors for my car. I know I have to either turn down the tops or drill out my fuel rail to fit.

My question is. what are people using to make the bottoms fit into the head properly? The ford o-ring is smaller then the DSM one.

And, Do I need to do anything to space the injector between the rail and head ? The dsm injector has a rubber spacer between the Fuel rail and the injector body.

The bottom of mine fit into the stock DSM grommets. They were tight, but they fit. If you do the fuel rail, try and find a ream to do it, it will be much cleaner and more smooth. Just a wood one will be fine.

Thanks Jet. I think Ive got it pretty well figured out. some pic of yours installed would be great or I could take a look at it some time.

I had access to a lathe, so I just turned the tops of mine down, other than that they installed like regular injectors. I will have the talon in the shop soon pulling everything off of it, so if you still need a pic this weekend, I should be able to get one.

I might have pics of doing mine. I just drilled out the rail too and used the stock DSM grommets. The bit is a funky size, 17/32's if I remember correctly. I did the first one with a drill press, the second with a handheld drill, which was easier.

I would just ream out the rail if you don't have access to a lathe.
