Yes this is actually a kid.
Thanks for the words guys i really appreciate it.
The reason why im getting out of the eclipse is because a) it ties up too much of my money. b) Getting the child in and out is kinda hard, ive done it before and would rather not do it on a daily basis. and c) The car breaks too damn much, i dont wanna be bringing my girl to the hospital and have the car crankwalk.

I like the old WRX's. I think they are still my favorite body style. That'd be a nice little DD.

Honestly, just get out of cars.
How is the relationship between you and her? I'll can tell you first hand anything the coarts see as hobby, or extra they'll say if you can spend it on that then you can spend it on your kid. Jenny tried that shit with me, and they checked everything, I had to put together a list of Bills going 6 months back to prove I didn't have any extra money that could go to her. They asked for bank statements, house payments, car insurance, etc. Anything above and beyond can go to her for child support (and yes they said cable and internet were not necessary...bastards! don't know what I'd do with out internet)
But on the possitive note congrats man. Wish you the best of luck, and all I can say is just be there for her, she's going to have a ton of emotions going on that we couldn't never understand, and support not matter what the decision is, is key to keeping the relationship going in a positive manner. (kind of funny actually been talking about this with 3 different women about this since moving down here)

Spring for an older awd Legacy GT or an Impreza 2.5 RS.
Congrats on the news. I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me for about 8 more years.

Come On!!! having the car crankwalk while taking your girl to the hospital would be the greatest DSM story ever!!!
But yeah, old WRX would be on the list. I love the way they look. I think you can find a 2.5RS for a good price. They are more reliable then a DSM...
I think...
however when I talked to the people that modify them, I am amazed at the amount of money they spend on performance parts and AWD trans still break when engine is modified.

Me and my girlfriend are great. We have been dating for over a year, we havent had a fight yet. I was planning on popping the question before all of this in february.
Its great how supportive my family and friends have been. im truely blessed in that respect. This will be my families 11th child. lol

Congrats man. It sucks to see a DSM go particularly since it seems like you've just rounded out your setup, but its good to see that you've got your priorities right. I like the old bug eye WRX's as well, but watch that 2nd gear... my buddy with a fairly modded one has been through two trannies in the past couple years. I would blame it on the fact that he beats on it a lot though, if you just DD it I think you should be fine.

just get a new four door civic, if you can. probably pretty good on fuel, looks good, four doors, saves gas.
Did you want a baby?

I wasnt opposed to a baby. I would have rather waited a year or two. but hey life throws these things at you for a reason.

I am with Brian and say I would NOT have a modible car as a daily driver.
Family comes over fun and if you need it to get to and from work to feed more than yourself, or take kids to doctors appointments, school, wife/girlfriend to the hospital, buy something reliable.
Maybe I am just getting old....
Either way Congrats Tom!
