OK so my car is fucking retarded.

I have been having these starting issues and im not entirely sure as to why.
I start the car. starts just fine. Car runs great. I shut off car. Car will not start again. 12-24 hours later remaining untouched, car starts again.
It has been doing this for the past couple days. Every time i think i fixed it i drive to the gas station and need to push start the damn thing.
When it doesnt start it acts like it would if the clutch wasnt pushed in, turn the key and the radio turns off, starter doesnt turn nothing turns.

The car had an aftermarket alarm but the brain box is gone, except the motion sensor is still attached to the steering column and when i hit it, the red light comes on. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but im scared to try and remove the alarm in case some wiring is meant to be there.

This is absolutly absurd.
Someone please shed some light on this.

Ha, this exact same thing is happening to my girlfriend's ZX2. She has a remote start system installed, and everything worked fine last year. Then she had some random shop in the country do some maintenance on it and when she got it back the brain and all the wires were hanging down near the pedals. She tried to shove them all back up, and now her remote start doesn't work.

My guess is that either she or the shop disconnected the remote start wire when shoving wires all over the place. Her car still starts most of the time, but randomly it won't. I'm guessing since the brain lost it's connection to the starter altogether, the wire from the key is also loose, which causes it to not work sometimes. I told her to wiggle the steering wheel when it won't start, and it works every time.

Now I have to find some time to fix the wiring they messed up and double zip tie everything so they can't pull the wires out again.
