How much shittier is (E70) winter blend E85 compared to summer E85?
Now that we have had some time to retune cars and what not.
My experience is that i switched to the 61 and made 8hp and lost 10+tq, but i had the same issue with boost falling off like the 16G.

How junky is it? Has anyone tuned a car to it yet to see how bad it really is? I mean maybe you can't run as much boost or pull timing back a bit?
Where's Jim, i want to see his car's tune on some straight E70 and see how rich it gets and if it knocks at all. I know Shane tuned him on spring blend for afr of like 11.3:1 or so, and then on the summer blend he was up to like 11.9 or 12:1 afr, and then back down to low 11's on the fall blend...if he runs 10.7-10.8:1 afr on the winter stuff and is able to run the same amount of boost and timing w/o knock, that would be really cool!

I had a "E-85" evo on the dyno and we switched gas stations.
Car moved .7afr instantly and I had to pull 5+ degrees of timing just from the octane change fun stuff.
Brownman was on the dyno with the 61, him and john were tuning the dsmlink, and got marginal gains, they are contributing it to the fuel.
E-70 isn't very high octane at all considering E-85 is 105 octane tops.

Thanks for the good answer man! Very interesting on the amount of timing pull....how much boost was this on?

Yikes, Scheides, want to pull a log off my car on the winter blend and see if she is knocking? I have stayed out of the boost for the last month or so and hope to put the car asleep for the winter soon.

Asleep for the winter!?!?! That's the most fun time!
Ya for sure. Just give me a call. Tomorrow night, Sunday night, or Monday night would work.

Well, it more like going under the knife for winter.
JDM rear bumper, clutch, and o2 housing are a few of the things that are going to be tackled.
Sunday night sounds good, I'll give you a call.
