Not opening the email it isn't going to do crap, unless they request a read receipt and you acknowledge it.

For the past few months I was getting TONS of them, but now either they are ceasing or AOL Spam Blocker is betting better. I never would open or read any of them, just deleted them. At the bottom of the email there is usually a link to click to "unsubscribe" from the email list, all that does it prove that your email is valid and you will start receiving even more junk! Jana, may I ask what it was you subscribed to? ;)

I so far havent got any junk to my new email... I used to have hotmail, switched to Yahoo.
If you dont sign up for any porn or say no to all the pop up adware then you shouldnt get any junk email. Unless your associated with like places you can buy stuff online. Sometimes they sell email addy's.

I have had my email address for ever and it gets insane amounts of junk mail, but they never make it to my email client. My ISP catches about 99% of them and they sit on their junk mail server where I can go check them if I ever wanted to, but I rarely do unless I think it accidently marked a real email as junk mail. That usually only happens if I register for a new web based forum and it sends an authorization email.

I get the same shit... Only it's being sent to my work address.
I'm sure the first time my boss or someone see's one of those emails it'll be my arse.

If you are getting them at work, I'd tell someone before they find out and think something else. I usually notify MIS immediately so they can track it down and stop the spam.

Thankfully I never get any junk mail, at all, ever. When I made my hotmail account a couple of years ago I've just been really careful where my address goes unlike previous accounts. And if I have to submitt an address I use my school account and that doesn't even get any junk.
If you have AOL your screwd cause vendors just get names through chat rooms and through searching for a member.
