Why bother with that? People on here have already proven that they're more trouble than they're worth. Do you really think air rushing through your intake manifold is going to have time to absorb heat before entering the engine?

im going to go pick up a normal intake manifold gasket right now. I bought that gasket when i got the INtake manifold. At least the bastard should run better now.

Do yourself a favor and do a boost leak test before you go back to the dyno. If you don't do that you are shooting yourself in the foot!

Why would Tom do any sort of pre-dyno or preventative maintenance? :hah:

Ya, I wouldn't go to RRE neither. I hate those guys. Especially when they give you a discount after you've shopped there a couple times, or when they send you free shit in the mail, or respond to your emails the same day. I'd feel much better having a shop that looks pretty tune my car rather than some OG DSMers.

As for the heat barrier, I've never heard anything bad about them. Do you have any links to proof of them sucking?

They work well in the Honda-world.

The heat transfering to the intake manifold is where the positives might be had. The IM wouldnt get as hot as it would without a gasket, therefore reducing intake temps a little... Not sure how well it works with Forced induction because leaks probably occur more often.

Tom are you ever going to just do it right the first time?
