My son broke a shift fork in his tranny and his 16th birthday is coming up need something cheap.

^ He said something cheap, as in a used tranny usually goes for about 300-400.
Plus only a day to pull the old and put in the new.
Try some J-yards and hope u get lucky.
Call some shops and see if they have or know of customers that have.
If you just need forks, i have the cast/steel forks,

Cheap is a relative term. Cheap as in penny pincher?
Or cheap as in, I don't want it to break again, but don't want junk?

cheap as in a quick replacement, its a little obvious to us, us in a relative term as those brains.
Also stock trannies have been good for multiple 10sec runs.

Basically yes, when questioned by those below me.
It doesn't really matter.
Bart, i have a J-yard up here by me i will check it out for you.
Don't worry about this guy and his useless posts, it happens around here at times.
