All this TV talk makes me want one, I have an old tube TV that I have to hit sometimes to make the picture not distorted. Are they offering pretty good financing on them at places like Best Buy?

I got ours today at 3 years no interest, To be honest thats the only reason we got it now vs a month or two from now. 18 months no interest is a pretty common thing to see. I know Best Buy just had 3 years no interest if you paid the extra 200 bucks or so for their geek squad come in and hook it up. Just as long as you pay it off in time its a nice thing to take advantage of. Naturally if you can pay it all off right off the bat the better. Then you could get 10-20% off at the time of purchase.
Bit the bullet, Go get one! There is no way you won't be happy with it. Might give the the Home theater bug though like it did to me, New tv means you gotttttta buy a new receiver.. then you gottttta buy new speakers.. etc.. I went threw a few week kick on electronics buying mode. I have slowed down a bit.. for now..

It's worth reading the TV specs to find those that are LED backlit instead of CCFL. LED is more stable, cooler, uses less power, and is more rugged than CCFL. All of which translates into theoretically longer life and better picture.

Yes, shitty TVs do suck, thats why I got mine (lol).
I read a lot of reviews, and for the money I got a very good TV.
And I don't owe anyone anything for it.

Well I wish I was in a better position to be able to buy ours in cash but that just isn't an option. But in three years time with extra cash to nail it down I'll have it payed for in well within that time frame. Its nice to have nice things..
