So I haven't found much info on this topic or maybe I don't know how to search for this topic...

So I am planning Stage 3 upgrade for my car (it is how I name the time when I do something for my car) and it is going to get a bigger turbo, about a 50 trim or 20g (but that discussion is for another thread), bigger injectors, and other fun stuff...
I was wondering if my BOV is going to be venting enough air?

Right now I have a Blitz DD BOV and from what I understand it only holds 18psi untill I get a hard spring for it. It came with the intercooler and hard pipes that were custom made. I really don't know too much about this BOV other then from what I have read. It sound like people purchase it more for the sound then anything else...
If I shouldn't use this BOV what would people recomend?

But will this flow enough air so compression surge doesn't happen. Last thing I want when I buy a bigger turbo is to damage the thing with improper parts...

I would probably try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work then you can upgrade to a Greddy, Tial or HKS. If you like the whistle, buy the HKS. I bought one a long time ago when there weren't many choices and kind of like the whistle. It really makes people jump :D When I go to a bigger turbo I will put a Tial on also.

Tial is what I recommend. HKS gets too annoying after a while IMO. The new GReddy RS is ok, but I preferred the older Type-S "sound-wise".

I'm replacing my stock 1g with a Tial.

Ok when I do upgrade what will be a sign that I would need a bigger BOV?
I guess I will buy the spring and see what happens.

I am going to be the first to say that I don't really care about sound. This one makes A LOT of air noise but that really doesn't matter. I just want to make sure that nothing bad happens to the turbo.

Tial. Hang onto your stock 1G one and crush it until you you need to run a ton of boost though, more bang/buck!

The Blitz DD has a different flange so I can't put the 1G back on, otherwise I would have and sold the Blitz for $$ I really don't know which one is better, the Blitz or the stock 1g

It sound like Tial is the way to go from vote. Probably I will sell the Blitz and the 1g and go with Tial flange and make a new pipe so I can also eliminate the GM MAF (switching to different management system)

You can see in this picture how that system works and how close it is to the thermostat housing.

Edit:more I look and compare BOV the more I am liking Tial... Probably that will be choice. It doesn't even sound loud which might be a nice change!
