Doug's Dynopower? http://ddynopower.com/
He claims to make a 4G Eclipse GT/GS turbo kit. Anyone able to comment on quality of his passed work? His catalog includes DSMs, the 3rd gen eclipse, and EVO 8s.
Someone on a forum said some guys from Buschar said he was very knowledgeable, but thats second hand.

That guy is an OG. He has been around since the 90's. Back in the day of Extreme Motorsports and Buschars hayday. He did some good stuff back then, but haven't heard about him in a long time.
Yeah, he has been around forever. He has a good rep so he doesn't really advertise or want to be one of the big places. He is on NABR still and I bought my FMIC kit that I am still running from him eons ago (7 years?). He was the first I knew of to do a twin turbo DSM.

You can read more about him on the 3G forums as well. I've only heard good stuff about him.

I sent him an email about the specifics of what's all in the kit, it's good to hear his reputation from Buschur was true, makes him sound reliable.
The price seems somewhat reasonable, I'll be considering it, heh.

Would it even be necessary to put boost on my car though?
Yeah it would be sweet as hell, if for no other reason then putting a turbo on a car that doesn't come stock with one. But it's pretty possible to hit 300whp (within ~10hp or so) with simple bolt ons and a tune.
And being FWD aren't I gonna have some problems sticking even with good rubber? It seems like the engine stock with good drag tires is about the only way to be sticky on a launch.
I guess it just seems like overkill... even if i'm only running 4-8psi, and I don't think theres been a 4G yet with above 8psi s/c or t/c.

I would get your current batch of mods installed and go from there. A turbo-kit is a pretty large investment so think it over for a while . I assume that 300hp rating with bolt-ons is at the crank?
I used to have a high horsepower FWD DSM and yeah, traction was a real pain. With my 20G I could spin the tires (sticky summer rubber) at 70mph on the highway.
What are the 4G guys using to tune? Can the stock ECU be reflashed?

The AEM FI/C is what is being broken in to tuning right now, but theres only 1 guy I know of so far that is using it productively.
I'm more or less dipping my feet in with the turbo thing, just trying to test the water. I wouldn't jump in until later this time next year if I did, I probably wouldn't be able to afford it until then anyway, I would want to have the purchase price plus a few grand tucked away in case something went wrong.
But i'm pretty much thinking it might not even be worth it at all, at this point. The car has plenty of power without it, not enough to beat up on any AWD cars, but once I finish the current plan i'll probably be hanging with stock 350Zs and G35s and such (theoretically?).
I don't think i've read anything about flashing the ECU yet, probably not enough tuning work going on for it to be common yet.
