Kinda OT, but where do you get Porting Bits. I tried looking online all i came up with is that it should be an aluminum Carbide bit of some sort. Where should i look?
Thanks

I went there, they have bits, but it seems like the bits i find only last 5 minutes before the burrs are completly shot. maybe im buying the wrong ones. any suggestions?

I bought a $5 set of bits in the air-tools section at HD. Ate through 2.5 of them porting out my turbine housing. Not the best, but they got the job done and they were cheap!

There is a place on Uni that sells porting bits but I can't remember the fuck'n name.

Maybe swanny with chime in? They are pretty close to MAS, just on the other side of the street I think.

It wasnt Ax Man was it?

I got mine from carbidebur.com. They are pretty decent so far, I think I spent $15-$20 on two burs, but they were worth it IMO. The aluminum one is still going strong, but porting aluminum is like melting butter with a heat gun. The iron one is still holding strong though, after a pretty rigorous workout on my o2 sensor housing, manifold, and hot side. Shipping was pretty decent too, I think I had them 8-10 days after order.

Harbor freight is right down the street from my house. Their burrs are even worse. I went once around the manifold and the burrs were totally gone.

Does anyone have a boost leak tester that'll work with the 4" inlet on my turbo? I think I have a couple leaks to track down.
