I actually ran into this problem on mine the other day, started running really crappy in 4th gear(was vent to atmosphere) and was pissing me off. But, with the windows down and doing 45+ when it normally happened, i thought i had a missfire.
Windows up, find the problem and after tightening that thing as much as i dare... i'd give my left nut, and probably my right, for a stock 1g bov that works right.

My cousin still has one in his garage I think. I could check with him and if he does I know he's still wanting to get rid of it since after selling his to me I think he's done with em'.

Would have to figure out how to get it work, but a couple buck could be thrown his way for it if he's got no use. May go back to the old one in the future when i have the vehicle set up better. That flutter is annoying me.

Sorry it took so long. But I don't think my cousin has it anymore. He's sure that he has sold it.

Yeah, i'm sure there's plenty of them out there. Havn't even looked on E-bay yet, so you know i'm not that desperate.

Because you just made 0 sense at all.. Obviously rice doesn't help nor I even mention it. I haven't done a single mod to my car so idk how this makes me a ricer. If it means owning one then you are no better off than I am!
Ok, you say you have not done a single mod to your car, yet you're talking about the flutter of your Greddy BOV. To me, that qualifies as a mod. You're talking about wanting your BOV to flutter more, so to me that qualifies as rice. As for wanting to get rid of your car, I assumed that you were saying that you wanted it to flutter more to possibly intice some ricer kid to buy it. Was it just a mis-understanding on my part?

The Greddy type-s is a small BOV, the flutter is the valve plate bouncing up and down and/or compressor surge, not a good thing.
Here’s a good explanation of the valve:

Would a stock 1g work better on a 91 tt stealth you think? I've got time, and money(kinda) to get a new one. Don't need that loud "PSHSHSHSHSHSH" sound, but i do want a bov that works recirculatory.

No worries on anything. I bought my car as is fully built and all I have done to it is change the oil. I am thinking about selling my car without changing anything that has been done to it ie. the bov. I was only wondering if there was a way to lengthen or shorten that sound or what the reason for it making that sound was.

I have a comfident idea that it isnt comp surge. And as in the link you gave me he talked about not holding boost n such but I hold boost just fine. My only thought to this is maybe from under high boost when I make it flutter I am over stretching that membrane too much but then again there is a point as to how far everything can travel before it bottoms out yes?
