Its for a friend of mine, He needs a 2.4 wideblock for his project. Does anyone have one or know where we could pick one up? OR does anyone know what came with a 2.4 wideblock?

Yessir, the 6 bolt 2.4 wideblocks came in the 88-early 92 Mighty Maxes, D50's, and I think also Monteros. The 7 bolt ones came in late 92+ Mighty Maxes.

I am sorta interested, what is his project?
Also, I am not entirely positive, but I think the wideblocks were only in the automatics.

the 6 bolt 2.4 is the G4CS, the 7 bolt is the 4G64's... for anyone wondering.
Though I don't know what the difference is with the "wideblock"
Try looking for motors from eairly hyundia's... like the sonata I believe.

UNTRUE, I have a 6 bolt 4G64 in my car right now. The 4G64 came out of a mitsu expo, eagle summit, pymouth something. The G4CS came out of a Hyundia if I remember correctly.

OMG, RWD configuration! that is secret! I sure hope he's trying to keep it a secret because it is really secretive information.
the guy with the twin turbo 4g64 rx7 has been posting ALL OVER the starquest boards for some reason, maybe he got banned for talking to much at other places. It's interesting and he did it for super cheap. It's definately a good mod, but tell him that for best results he should keep the trans in the correct orientation, it will lean the motor like an sr20det but the shifter will be in the right spot and the tranny won't hit the floor.
