I kinda like having the hole there. That's right where the middle of my air filter is, so it gets a nice shot of cool air through the hole.

I had to cover mine up because that's where my fusebox sits otherwise I'd have to get use to burning up relays all the damn time.

I've been daily driving the DSM for the last few weeks and It's been running great. However, now that I've finished doing my G/f's water pump and timing chain replacement, I can put it away until I pick up the next round of upgrades. It's great but needs some suspension and brake work. Here's a list for this winter:

-Making a full exhaust for sure. Way too damn loud and it exits under the car causing all kinds of vibrations.

-The shocks need to be changed at all 4 corners. I'm probably going to keep the Intrax lowering springs since I like the ride and stance, just not a fan of the floating and bouncing.

-Also going to be upgrading the turbo. I want to go with something around what Twack has for a 50 Trim. I thought about the HTA68 but it's really expensive and I can get similar performance from a 50 trim without that stupid fucking J-pipe.

-Even on my stock turbo I'm finding that the stock single piston brakes don't do much at 135 mph. I made a deal with a friend at school and I'll be getting a set of dual pistons off a 2g with calipers rotors and all the hardware I need. I'll turn the rotors at school and rebuild the calipers.

-Going to try and pick up a full poly bushing kit for the whole suspension as well. Get the e-brake cables I need and get my e-brake working.

That's the plan for January. Of course this is all subject to change. I'll know 100% when I get to that bridge.

I finally got my big brakes so I'm pretty excited to try those. However, it won't be on this car...

Took the Laser out today and noticed it has a bad vibration on anything decelerating in gear. Accelerating in boost or not it's just fine. Clutch feels normal, but now there's a bad vibration when im off the gas and the engine is braking the car. Any ideas?

....so has anyone else had their transmission to engine bolts work loose?

Not the first time I've heard of it happening. My only suggestion is to make sure the bolts and the holes are clean and dry. I'm unsure if lock washers are a wise idea. A little blue Loctite maybe?

loctite is your friend and almost never hurts

or just crush washers... although maybe that isn't apropriate for trans bolts.

I re-tightened the bolts at school yesterday but today I'm thinking I'll take some of my red loctite and pull each bolt out.

Its nothing but my fault, I should have re-checked them after a few hundred miles but I didn't. Last time I messed with those bolts was last spring when I installed the 6 puck and painted the engine bay.
