lets hope for two things: one that they continue the MAZDASPEED6, and two that they fix the huge problems with the said platform, I just talked to nick at brookdale and he said that his dealership had already replaced 2x speed6 motors, not to mention all the other problems, (motor mounts, transmissions....etc)

WTF mazda?

I like the way it looks.

I never hear anything about them though. Exactly what problems do they have?

They aren't bringing back the Mazdaspeed6, not sure what they will hit next with the "speed" tag, but some places talk about the rx-8/rx-7 possibly getting more attention. With plans to go back to a speed 3/6 in 2-4 years.

There really isn't much wrong with the platform. It's solid and can take abuse. They offered up a part of the production for new clutch and the works around it due to engagement that just wasn't working, but other than that it's been a fuck'n great car for me. I'd bet money anyone who blew a motor messed with the boost, and the downfall is, it's controlled so much by the CAN-BUS system that fuck'n with it without having some way to tune safely is just dangerous. Especially at WOT. Once some places have it figured out in the next few years it should be a sweet platform to mod, till then. I'll roll with wheels/tires/tunes/comfort/suspension and be all set to go. Transmission is solid, the motor mounts are MS3 issues. This is all speculation on my car being at 19k miles. I'll see how it holds up over the next 30k.

The MS6's are AWD, right? Have you launched it? How does it hold up to that kind of abuse?

I saw one earlier this past spring at rock falls. Seems like he was running pretty consistant from what I remember.

Yes it's AWD. And it holds up just fine to everything I've done with it.
