The car is a 96 GST. I've noticed some squeaky noise coming from the front of the car. I want to say it's my ball joints? I have no idea. This had happend once before when I first got the car back in 2005 then I took it to a Mitsu. dealership and found out there was a recall on it but it had been done before already, but they went ahead and just fixed it for free since it use to be part of a recall.

I'm guessing it's the same recall again. If I can remember, it was something with the ball joints. The noise only occurs when I go over the smallest bump or while making a turn. It's at its early stage as I noticed the similarity of symptons as it once had before, before the car started making a crazy high pitched noise whenever I made a turn. Any ideas what else may be causing this?

Anyhow, I scheduled an appointment to the Appleton, WI Mitsu. dealer to have it checked out again. Hopefully it's part of a recall so they can just fix it for free.

Could be the pivot plate on the struts, could be sway bar bushings, ball joints on the lower control arm, or on the tie rod ends. A good lubing will probably take care of everything.

Didn't fix the problem yet but I had the guy at the dealer print out the statement of the last time I took the car in for the same problem that they fixed for the recall for free for me. I guess the last time that I took the car into the dealership to have them refix the recall was they just swapped out part # MR972466, cost of $149.64 for the part #.

If it is the ball joint again, dealerships need to perform the recall as many times as necessary.
