So I posted a while ago about my turbo being extra laggy and then found out that I had blown the weld in my o2 housing. I've got an external wg on my manifold which allows for the top hole in the o2 housing to be welded. Anyways, I had that rewelded after I blew it the first time, and I think I've blown it again. I haven't yet pulled the turbo and taken everything out to make sure because I am way too lazy and don't want to. I also don't see the reason considering that has to be the problem. My only question is, should I just have it rewelded again or what? I mean I dont have the time or money to keep rewelding this stupid thing. What are you other externally gated guys doing? I've had a few ideas, lmk what you guys think.
-Fill the whole with melted steel and let it harden inside so it's thicker than just an 1/8 inch steel plate.
-lse has a 02 housing they sell that is just one big opening, but idk if that would work with an external wg.
Here's a pic of what it looked like before and what I assume it looks like again now.

LSE's o2 housing wouldn't work with that housing. You can either get it re-welded again, buy a new housing (actually not that expensive), or run an 02 eliminator that blocks off that port. There's plenty of options out there

I didn't really think lse's would work.
What would I need a new housing for? I'd just have the same problem with that one wouldn't I?
I like the sound of an o2 eliminator but idk anything about it. I'll start searching now, but feel free to fill me in while I look :) thanks

Figured out what it is. Basically it's either a tubular o2housing with a dead end pipe or i found a few that actually kinda run the o2 hole right into the other one and increases turbo spool. This sounds like a great idea but they are a little pricey.

You can get a new housing that doesn't even have that hole in it in the first place from precision

ooo That sounds a little cheaper than this http://www.hahnracecraft.com/hahn/images/eiwg2.jpg

that still wouldn't help your situation. You need that port completley blocked off, that still leaves it open

^Your completely right. Haha I've I got what I pictured I would be way worse off than I am right now. Man I'm an idiot.
When you said precision has the o2 housing i need do you me pte? Cus I can't find their website for the life of me

Mmk, i liked about the housing. Lol. My bad. Basically, an easy way to do it would be to just have a downpipe flanged that covers up the port completley, and just has a bend coming off for the turbine wheel discharge. Basically what you have pictured above, just without that little connecting piece by the wastegate hole

not really. I don't have a down pipe. It's a custom turboback exhaust
