Weighed the Talon

I weighed my wife's 1G Talon late last night. Came out to 2920lbs without me in it, kind of dissappointing. I was hoping it was down close to 2800lbs with all the crap we have taken out of the last 5 years. I went with a guy with a 2002 Mustang GT with a (heavier than the stock 4.6l) built 5.4l DOHC motor and a T76 turbo setup on the car. He was thinking his might be over 3400lbs, but it weighed in at only 3180lbs. If my 1G weighs that much, I can't imagine what my 2G weighs.

^ Just to think those mustang guys always complaining about weight when they lose. I don't think that guy has to worry too much though.

Mine weighs 3000 empty, now i weigh 195lbs, so i guess that means i am up to 3195lbs.

i need to lose some weight.

I'm scared to go weigh mine, but I think if I ever get up to LSE to corner-weight the K'sports, then I hope to get a good number. Was that a full tank of gas shane? What have you pulled from the car, since I've seen it last?

Swifty that one time I drove your car home I weighed it at the recycle center in ramsey and I weigh ~160lbs. My Galant weighs 2520 with out me in it right now, but shooting for a 2800lb race weight.

Wow, that seems heavier than I thought for a 1G with no cage. Looks like you need to get serious with that thing and ditch the factory seats, power steering, sunroof, blah, blah. I still haven't weighed mine yet, but I'm sure it's not good.

Ya, the TA by DB. Fast Mark weighed there after dynoing the night before me and Tyler did. Nate was gonna weigh, but he didn't want to pay. Even if the scale is off, I am coming up heavier than I had hoped while the Mustangs are coming up way lighter than we thought.

Shane, how does that work, drive up, drive off, and head inside for the weight? Is it just inside the regular travle area in there?
