View Full Version : Twins deal Castillo

I hate this move, especially for one of the prospect being a fuck'n catcher, we have 2 SOLID starting catchers and even a 3rd string already in case one gets hurt.
We the Twins don't get someone today yet (trade deadline at 3pm CST) I'm gonna be pissed.

Yeah it is really shitty to see him go. He has been a good player for us. But Terry Ryan is a managerial Genius. I am sure he had his reasons. Plus when you look at all the big contracts that are coming due in the next 2 year... you have to make some cap room somewhere.
I still don't get it, especially now that they didn't make any more moves to help the team. Castillo was the teams top hitter right now, leading the twins in average if I remember right.
There is no way we get to keep Hunter next year, and Santana could be gone if we don't give him Zito money.

If that is what it takes to keep Santana it will be done. How can you really let a back to back Cy Young winner go... even if he isn't having a Cy Young year. Although in his only 2 losses in the second half he still pitched well.
As far as Torri. I don't think they can afford to let him go either. He is Pucketesk. He is the LEADER of that team. If he is gone next year they will be luck to make 500.
Tori is gone, through statement he's even made, the Twins can't afford him. And Tori is going to get money and a chance to win. It's sad, but I think we could be taking a few steps back again.

I wasn't saying that he wouldn't wear any other jersey than the Twins. I just meant they can't afford to loose him. Who will they have to lean on. Mauer, Morneau. Neither of them are outspoken leaders. We could be in trouble if they can't find a way to sign him back.
