I was wondering how is the heat soaking process of the small intercooler suppose to feel like because I'm kinda having problems with my car right now.

1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
Evo 3 16g
Walboro Fuel Pump 255hp
RC 550 injectors
Super AFC2
Small Side Mount Intercooler
Upper intercooler pipe with Tial BOV
K&N Filter with Dejon Intake Pipe
2g MAS
Ported 2g exhaust manifold and o2 housing
Custom 3 inch Thermal Exhaust with the 2.5 bottle neck at the o2 housing
Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller

The car is tuned to RRE settings that I got off of there web page but I doubt that'll do. Sometimes when I step on it the car it just lags even though the boost guage showing boost building up. It kind of feels like when one of your injectors is bad and your car just kinda stalls when you step on it then if you kinda let it run for a bit everything kinda starts to kick back in.

I'm assuming it's because the car is running pretty rich right now because it isn't tuned and that the little intercooler just won't be able to do it's job anymore. Any inputs? boost leak?

You need a fmic and a legitimate tune. You'll heat soak like it's going out of style on the stock smic with a 16g.

So because there's been no response so far I'm assuming that it just needs a tune and a fmic.

Do you have some sort of logging device? It sounds to me like you are getting some timing pulled, causing the car to feel sluggish.

just a afc to tune nothing else really.

Are the RRE settings for a 1G MAS or 2G MAS? It probably just needs some tuning or there might be a boost leak. It will heatsoak with that turbo and the stock sidemount though, so you don't want to go too crazy with the boost on pump gas.

You need a FMIC !

Get it tuned. I would keep the boost ~15psi to help avoid heatsoak with the tiny stock SMIC.
