Yeah, I think they need a 165 lb driver. BTW, I'm offering up my services.:hah:

It is Raptor's old car, but with Kyle in it it still weighs 2940 lbs per the track scale yesterday.

Yes we are using the PT71GTQ turbo and a 75 shot of nitrous. The downside is we were making boost adjustments throughout the day so we don't really know how much boost we were running, somewhere over 40 psi. We also don't currently have a means to log A/F besides the dyno and we didn't tune the nitrous on the dyno in fear of blowing the motor up lol. All we know if that when the nitrous was on we retarded timing 3 degrees and A/F went way rich just to be on the safe side.

The car has a lot more in it, we just need some more time and some reliable axles!

Wow that car is heavier that I thought. Johns car is currently 2520 on the corner scales. Needs a hood, t-case, radiator, driver, and a few other small pieces...we are estimating race weight to be 2800lbs. Hell my car is 3400lbs with driver. What is making that talon so heavy?

Congrats on the 9 second pass guys, you deserve it. Hopefully the drivetrain can handle a good 60', get you more solidly in the 9's.

We have a few ideas on how to get it about 150lbs lighter, but they all cost money.

I think our dilemma right now is whether we should power our way into a lower time, or take weight out to get there. The motor LOVED the 75shot.

We would have power numbers to post............but as soon as nitrous hits the tires are up in smoke.

Your drivetrain will be much happier if you lower the weight. It may take you deeper in the 9's before you just can't keep anything from breaking.

Carbon fiber, Lexan, Jenny Craig, and a dremel will get you into the 8's
Oh fill the tires with helium... DUH I can't believe I almost forgot that.
