Well we are now looking at using what we can out of our current dell desktop, but overall we want to build a new one.

We know we can look at NewEgg.com for everything, but what are some other sites that might help us out when it comes to a wider selection of cases, drives (possible blue ray), and processors.

We really want to do something wild with this one, but yet keep it on a semi low budget. We obviously could look at pre made combos from Dell again for $800-$1000 for something pretty firm, but we want to see if we can build our own within that price range.

I'm thinking I could use the video card & power supply from our current dell system and maybe even more.

The big thing I'd be using it for is video editing and gaming. Jana would be using it for work and music mostly.

So yes, now we have yet another one of these threads, but since new shit is always out I'll wait to see what the sexperts come at us with.

There is alwasy this web site that helps: www.pricewatch.com It lets you search for the best prices. And another thing is check this thread out: My New computer! (http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14910)

I think my brother did but I spent under 1,000 dollars on my new machine. But besides all that. Whats the point of transferring over your graphics card. If its not PCIx16 its not worth it. If you going low budget or not to much then count out Blu-ray or HD DVD roms or burners. I looked up some Blu-ray ones and it was 500 dollars. But if you like give us more info on what kinda gaming you want to do. Then we can go from there. Jana can do anything on what you build as for music and work. Its the gaming part I like to know more of.
