1999 chevy malibu

I have a 1999 chevy malibu with about 95000 miles that either needs some engine work or a new engine. It runs but there is a loud tapping noise. I don't have the time to mess with it and I would like to get rid of it asap. $500 obo

sorry I was really tired last night. I live in circle pines. it is the 2.4l 4 cylinder. it is gold the paint isn't in the best shape but and the rear tires are pretty bad but other than that it is in pretty good shape. the front tires are almost brand new they were put on towards the end of december and I only drove the car until about half way through march. it has power locks, windows, and mirrors. anti lock brakes, rear defrost, tape player, it's just the base model. I also have a yakima car rack on it that I will sell with the car for an extra $200 it is basically brand new it was installed at the begining of march and I never had a chance to actually haul anything on it. it is a $310 dollar rack and part of it is special order only.
