Installing A Door Handle?

Ok so I broke my door handle I epoxied it back together and seems strong enough so that it won't break under normal conditions.

Well I tried to reinstall it today on lunch break. And I can't get the hooks back into there place.(I can get the front one that's goes into the Orange colored slot) But I can't get the back one into the White color Slot)

ie: the back one is what opens the door the other one attach's to the door locks.

Get skinny..........or use forceps.

I had to connect the clips to the rods (using forceps) before i screwed the handel on. Napa, Checkers, or somone should have a set.
