I was at Automotive Cooling Products for an A/C seminar, and there they had a bunch of catalogs with companys that make replacement Charge Air Coolers (intercoolers to us car folk). Catalogs have dimensions, endtank dimensions, inlet/outlet size, and most are "black" in the OEM form. Anyone here use any diesel truck intercoolers on their cars? I just figure I could get a nice brand new core cheap enough, might be better/cheaper than a "kit"

Every diesel intercooler I've ever seen is bigger than the radiators in our cars. Fitment could possibly be an issue.

Intercooler kits are so cheap nowadays, there shouldn't be a reason to put one together unless you need custom routed 3" stuff.

I don't think $1000 is cheap. I've been eyeing the Extreme PSi race kit.

Brand new intercooler kits are a rip. Just look for used race core kits for like 550 shipped.

I dont like dented cores! lol. But yeah if a good deal comes around, then I'd jump on it. But if I can get a decent new core for a few hundred or less, id go that way too!

Theres a few places that sell nice cores that are meant for short route DSMs and are pretty nice big cores. If you want to know, just ask. :)
