Ok, so my friends and I where coming from Midway since it got rained out around 11:00pm, and this kid named Zach that I've only known for a couple of days ended up riding with me because he wanted to get a feel for the DSM. The original plan was to meet in this transit center afterwards, but on the way back we all got a little seperated. Once i arrived at the transit center, there ended up being 1 out of the 5 or 6 other cars that showed up. I got out of my car to ask the kid where everyone was at and he said lets wait here and call them, w/e.

As we waited i went inside of my car took it out of park and was ready to drive off (car semi-rolling) as i see my friend rip out of the parking lot and me now stuck with a cop that had creeped up behind me. As i was going he yelled for me to stop, so i did as he said, he came up to me and asked for a drivers license, whatever. well now his partner cop decided to get into the action and pull zach out of the car and ask him a few questions. He seperated us two and did some tests to see if we were intoxicated, but later said that he knows i haven't been drinking. (then gave me a breathalizer?) then he comes over to me and said, "Your friend admitted to have smoked some "herbs" and possibly shooting dope in his leg (this kid had a mosquito bite lol) and i believe that you have been to." (keep in mind i dont know this kid). so he took my pulse and asked me questions and said that im definatally under the influence (i was not, maybe nervous?). he kept going on how my storys didn't match Zach's, which in-return actually did, and there was pot that he had left in the car.

After I told him that i was not under the influence, and him stressing that we can go down the hard way, he now was going to search my car. i had nothing to hide, but i didnt let him search my car, just for the simple fact that i didn't want another cop going threw my belongings such as the last one except that one with search dogs, he couldn't do anything about it. so after the whole testing ordeal he told me that since im not cooperating that he is going to give me a ticket for loidering and parking. later changed his mind and give me a parking ticket instead (34$), which i think is bs because he pulled me over in the position that i was in?? So now i strongly believe that i should go to court and fight it, even though its 34 dollars, i don't care because this isn't the first time that cops have pulled this shit on me. I took pictures of how he pulled me over, where i was parked, got there badge numbers and everything. These guys where jackasses thats all i got to say. so now a parking ticket is sitting on my counter with the court number ready to call tomorrow morning.

Sucks, but if you got the time, fight it. If you can prove it all as well. $34 bucks is a good weeks worth of gas.

Parking tickets are not a moving violation, they are nothing. They will not affect employment, they will not affect insurance.

Fight it in court if you want to make a stand and try to prove your point, but honestly to me it wouldn't be worth the time and I'd just pay it since it won't affect anything on your record and chances are the judge will believe the officers anyways.

Yeah there is always two sides to the story and the judge isn't going to go for yours its a 34 dollar parking ticket, think about gas and paying for parking at the court house and then sitting there for probably 2 hours to tell the judge a 15 minute story when he'll only give you two minutes to tell it.
If he would have tagged you for something like dissorderly or obstructing an officer (cause you didn't let him search) or something foolish that you didn't do than i'd say fight it.

ya but the thing is, this is my 3rd parking ticket, one was revoked, the other is still unpaid on my other car that i ended up selling, and now this one.. i just quit my job, so its in my best intrest. last time i went to court, took a month to get the court date, went there, took 5 min, then left with 34 dollars still in my pocket. and this time i have evidence
