-R750... haha

So I bought this 89 Suzuki GSX-R750 from my brother and it needed some work so he decided to get a newer ZX7. Its been sitting for over a year after it started leaking oil from two lines that go into the block. He fixed that but cleaned the carbs at the same time and then it wouldn't run right.

You have to lift the head off the cylinder block from the bottom housing to replace those oil seals so he thought timing was messed up.

I spent the last month messing with it here and there trying to get it to run right. Messed with timing and that confused the hell out of us because TDC doesn't matter if its on compression stroke or exhaust relative to the cams... so after that was done I ordered a carb kit. Cleaned those out...

Repainted the yosh pipe and cleaned it up a bit. I'm going to take it to a shop this week to get the carbs synced because idle is a little goofy.

Other than that its fast as hell! Scared to ride it all over though will all the bad things happening to people on them lately. It wont be a daily commuter thats for sure...

Pics without the lower fairing because it still needs some work done on it...

Nice! Reminds me of my old 89 FZR! Great bikes!

Now sell it before you get hurt!

It would look nicer in my garage :D Nice bike. On the subject of bikes, I came across this link on youtube.. A yamaha turbo R1. This guy is friggin' nuts. Lifts the front on EVERY gear!

I calculated around 180mph. Who knows what it can do. Highest I seen was 290 Kph which is about 180mph. Doesn't really get going till about 2 minutes into it.

It looks nice. I like the classic style with the twin round headlights.

Very nice. For an older bike, those are pretty damn quick.

That vintage of gsxr750 is pretty nice, in 92 they started to gain a bunch of weight and become pigs. Nice pick up!

Where is the rest of the faring or didn't they come with a full faring back in '89?

Nice bike. Hope you get it running right! And that R1 is nuts.
