Were you dropped on your head as a child?
Maybe? But between my old 96 GSX and my current 97 GSX, I've put on over 130,000 miles on DSMs. Only problems I ever had was the stupid power antennas and the spark plug wire arched on me pretty bad. I call DSMs very reliable. :)

I'm just givin ya shit man. I agree with DSM's being reliable (as long as they're kept up well). Unfortunatley, that doesn't happen nearly enough as is should
With a 50 trim (and .63 or scm housing) you should hit full boost in the mid 3k's, you have something wrong if it is over 4k to full boost. If you can't launch better than a fwd, then you need to learn how to slip a clutch!

Shit man ive practiced launching. I can't pop the clutch because it will bog down ( I know I shouldn't pop it anyway). The only way I get a decent start is if i slowly let off the clutch and easy into firsttt. but yea i dont hit boost entil like 4 and not full boost untill 5k isher. sucks dick i knoww

2-step FTW!
Turbo lag is only a teaser for the guy next to you. If a 50-trim is too laggy for you my friend, then don't ever upgrade.

yea 50 trims are laggy, But so are every other turbo just as big or bigger. you don't see the fast dsm's runnin low and uner 12s with 16g's now do ya?! One day I'll figure out my laptop and get a good tune and learn to play with some of the features of dsmlink.

Actually, if you have the Curt Brown mod, you can run a 10.3/4 on a 16g, with mild cams and e85.

Lag can be contributed to a few things.
Boost leaks/pressure drop
Exhaust leaks
are the major 2. Also a wounded turbine wheel can attribute to a laggy setup. Intake restrictions, and a weak motor.

Boost leak test tomorrow. I don't hear any exhaust leaks at all and I've got all brand new gaskets. The turbo has about one summer on it and has been pretty well taken care of (warming it up and cooling it down). The turbo was mint when I put it in a few months ago and I've been pretty nice to it for the most part. And you yourself congratulated me on having such a "healthy motor." I'm hoping there are a few boost leaks haha

Yeah if I remember correctly the compression numbers were good.
