So I was at this place today and they were towing a Subaru Legacy AWD by the front wheels(back wheels on ground). The car was in park. They only towed it like 200 feet. Would this mess anything up?
If they didn't drop the drive shaft, then yes it could. Probably not with that short of a distance, but with it in park that was dumb as hell. It should have been in neutral. Were the tires sliding?

I believe this happened to my gsx before I baught it. They didn't know it was awd and they ended up putting a new tranny into it

The viscous coupler could allow slippage, but I've seen GSX's and other Subies towed with the rear wheels skipping.
I wonder if it snapped the pin in the tranny to lock it in park?

If it was an auto you can pull the AWD fuse and make it FWD for towing that way. I did this in my Legacy 2.5GT for bitchin burnouts.

I remember reading this happening about some guy's Evo catching fire on MNSC b/c the tow truck only hooked the front wheels.
