Just bought 95 talon, when driving ome the engine shut off. No noisees, just dead. removed the top timing belt cover, timing belt is intacked. But looks like belt below it broke. When the motor turns over it spins at a very high rate, has a much higher pitch than I would expect. The crank pulley spins, the cams are moving, the motor can be spun by a wrench on the timing belt pulley, it does have compression. Sorry I don't know anything about these cars, had it for 70 miles before this crap happened. It is a 95 talon tsi automatic. k&n, mbc, s-afc II. hard pipe and cat back.

Do you have spark? Can you hear your fuel pump turn on? If either one of them does not happen. It wont start. Atleast you don't have a 1g so the ECU should be fine.

Fuel, spark, and compression in the right order would help also, you are missing something.

Guys I am really looking for an answer why it turns over so fast, and if anything can be wrong besides the obvious broken balancer belt?

It crank fast because of low compression.? did you check all 4 cyl for compressions. should be close to 140.

Did not check it its at the shop, balance belt is broken. Crank position sensor is messed up. But so far the engine seems ok. Thanks

Your timing belt has jumped @ the crank. balance shaft belt broke and jammed between can timing belt and crank timing gears. you most likely bent the valves.
