So me and one of my good freinds were out riding down in Mass. in his 06 STI. We came to a traffic light where we had a green arrow, proceeded to turn and the person trying to beat the yellow light hit us head on. luckily not much bodily harm done to us, 8 staples in the head. But the STI is totalled :KANE:

Damn that sucks :( I always hate seeing nice cars totaled. I think the whole front end frame comes off so maybe it's fixable? Are they going to buy it back? Anyway glad noone was hurt too bad.

Damn. that's messed up. that shitty little Contour looks way more fucked up though. It's fixable, but it would be a hell of alot of work to get it right again. And shawn, the front end doesn't exactly "come off". The upper and lower rails, and aprons can be removed, but it involves drilling a ton of spot welds, and it has to be pulled straight before you can take anything structural off.

Here's the funny part, they can cut and weld the fram rails. They can fix the body damage. The towing company poored that sand in the ar (dunno why) and it had used motor oil mixed with it. So to sum it up what totalled the car was the towing company dumping that sand in there and wrecking the interior, which now needs a full restoration, we'll find out for sure if it's going to be totalled or fixed tommorow. I'm honestly thinking if it's totalled I'm going to buy it and do the work myself, as a project. Not sure yet though.

There's a ton of work to be done. Hope you both are alright.

They would have totalled that car to begin with. Sand or not.
Actually it looks just like my 2g GSX that was totalled. Almost the exact same situation. An off-duty cop ran a red light when I had a green arrow and trashed my car.
And yeah, stay away from me with your bad luck.
