So my buddy was telling me the other day that he is getting a "cyclone" engine into his DSM. I didnt know how to respond to him, as I have never heard of one. Is it some type of JDM motor or something? I didnt want to give him my $.02 cuz I didnt want to look ignorant or whatever. But yeah, anyone have any info or heard anything of these before?

Yeah, it is the JDM version. There is actually nothing better about it than the US version. It might have 550cc injectors or a 16g if he is lucky. He has been hanging around Honda guys too much. It also has the cool cyclone intake with valves to control the intake tract length. It flows worse than a 1g manifold.

it would have 510cc like my evo engine came with if your lucky
to make the intake work you need all the vacum lines and the pot off the jdm galant that it came from. Other wise it is usless. I would take it off and put on a 1g and sell it on ebay

JDM engines for the lose.

We need testing done, 3d CAD models with stress tests and flow simulations with valves open/closed and a lot of dyno testing, Jakey proud to be a cyclone.
A stock 1g will be good for pumpgas street cars.

He'd be better off just rebuilding what he's got. JDM motors are hit or miss.

Doesn't it also come with a pretty looking valve cover to!?!
