I was wondering if this ems is any good? It has spare analog inputs, can these be used to provide a swtich for pump gas / race gas maps?

They are decent, some people hate them though. An AEM EMS is the more common way to go.

Which care are you reffering to?

We had the good luck, or not so good luck, of being the first in the US in January to tune our EVO IX rally car with the Autronic PNP unit - we had to spend a lot of time with it, but I would not change it out for anything.

What benefits are there over the AEM?

The PnP autronic ecu for a dsm is based off their SMC series of ECU's.
Nice features versus the AEM:
-on board map sensor versus external on the AEM
-availability for high or low impedence injector drivers versus drivers for just saturated style injectors
-32 rpm load sites vs the 20 on the AEM

Minus's would be tech support over here, but the Autronic ECU's themselves are nice. I really like they way they use a floating box (somewhat similar to the Apex-i Power FC, only in the autronic the box actually floats, not jumps) for when you are tuning.

I would recommend the AEM EMS for most applications just do to the tech support and ease of operation.

It's for a dsm. Since you have experience, is it possible to rig a swtich so you can swtich between pump gas map and a race gas map?

I wanted to bump this thread because I have a question. I was wondering if any tuners here have experience tuning on these. I might have someone who wants a tune on pump gas.

Give the shop a call/stop in and we can talk about it.

I have some experience with them, but it's been a couple years. I am doing another car with one on Friday though.
